The next installment in the long running Ratchet & Clank franchise will support stereoscopic 3D, Sony has revealed. The announcement came with little fanfare during the on-going SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas.
Developed by the new Insomniac studio in North Carolina, Ratchet & Clank All 4 One features 4 playable characters (the titular duo, plus Dr. Nefarious and Captain Qwark) and is designed for four players simultaneous co-op play (both locally and online).
The game also supports one player of course. When playing solo, you are given the option to choose one AI buddy out of the remaining three characters to help you out in your quest.
Embedded below is a video walkthrough explaining it all. Looks tons of fun.
Ratchet & Clank All 4 One is scheduled for Fall 2011.
