Published in Europe by Funbox Media at the end of last month, SuperVillain Studios‘ cooking simulation Order Up!! will land on the US retail market next February 28th, for $29.99, courtesy of UTV Ignition Games.
Originally released for the Nintendo Wii in 2008 by Zoo Games, the PlayStation 3 version of Order Up! features new restaurants and characters, revamped audio and new music, HD graphics with stereoscopic 3D support, PlayStation Move compatibility and an extra exclamation point in the title (it is in fact called “Order Up!!”).
Unlike the original version tho, Order Up!! comes with a multiplayer offering comprising of both split-screen co-op and competitive turn-based modes for two players.
Being based on a pre-Motion Plus Wii effort, Order Up!! Move-powered interaction is completely gesture based, so don’t expect to have direct control over your cooking equipment a la Tumble, but rather to shake, twist and flip the controller as you carry out your chef duties with little positional considerations.
Unsurprisingly, the game is also fully playable with the traditional DualShock3 controller, its motion sensors being put to some use along with its two sticks.
For a better understanding of how Order Up!! plays, you can either read some of the Wii version (rather positive) reviews already out there, check the official website or watch the new, PlayStation Move-powered trailer embedded below.
