Watch and listen to lead designer of PixelJunk 4am Rowan Parker as he explains in great detail how Q-Games’ innovative music manipulation software works during the public PixelJunk 4am event held in San Francisco last week.
Great stuff, isn’t it?
I’m especially happy to see the rumble feature being put to good use here, that is as a way for having the user “feel” the grabbable tracks located at the four corners of the “music palette” surrounding him. (Reminds me of my very own “ghost sensing and catching” mechanic exposed in my “Back to Hell” iWonder idea about two years ago.)
PixelJunk 4am is scheduled for release this Spring via the PlayStation Store at a yet undisclosed price.
